Snow blankets parts of New York and Nebraska

Parts of the US were blanketed in snow this weekend as a series of storms swept across the country.

People in Syracuse, New York battled strong winds to farm in the snow, while cold weather was also seen in Lowville, further north.

North Platte, in west central Nebraska, was also affected by snow and ice.

The National Weather Service issued an advisory warning for the area that travel conditions will be impaired due to ice and snow on roads.
