Shakur Stevenson believes Turki Al Sheek can lead to a mega-fight between him and Gervonta Davis

Shakur Stevenson thinks Turki Al Sheek will make it a mega-fight between him and Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis in 2025 when he meets the Baltimore native. The tank will have a high combat cost. He already says he wants $150 million to fight Ryan Garcia. He might want a similar amount to fight the undrafted Stevenson.

Can Al-Shiekh deliver?

Stevenson believes Al-Shiekh will be the one to make Tank (30-0, 28 KOs) worth fighting. The decision will prevent Shakur (22-0, 10 KOs) from winning his next fight against Floyd Schofield on February 22 in Riyadh next month.

Another poor result for Stevenson could kill his chances against Davis, as the last thing he wants to fight is a runner who doesn’t want to stand and participate.

Shakur is just trying to score points using his hit-and-run style, assuming the judges will give him a decision. He almost lost to Edwin De Los Santos, and we saw Robeisi Ramirez chase him around the ring at the Olympics and beat him up.

“He is a good person. I’m glad I had the opportunity to meet him. “I appreciate it for the opportunity, and now I can show who I am,” Shakur Stevenson said. Professional boxing fans about Turki Al Shiek putting him on his February 22 card in Riyadh against Floyd Schofield.

“Tell him ‘Don’t run,'” Stevenson said of his message that he wanted Schofield to be told about their fight next month. “Maybe he’ll try to go for the knockout early.” Once he realizes he can’t get it, he’ll be on the back foot.

“I think it will be a huge fight. I think (Turkey) is saving boxing. So when Tank gets with him, I think the fights are going to happen,” Shakur said of his belief that Turki Al Sheek will be able to put up a fight between him and Gervonta Davis when he meets the Baltimore native.

“Sounds like a businessman.” I think he wants to make as much money as possible in boxing. That’s good for him,” Shakur said, reacting to being told Tank wanted $150 million for a rematch with Ryan Garcia to make it happen.

Stevenson’s injury problems

In recent workouts, WBC lightweight champion Shakur used only his left hand and cautiously tapped with his surgically repaired right hand.

That fragile right of his looks like it could fall apart almost immediately when Floyd puts him under pressure in the first round. Stevenson will have no choice but to try to keep the ambitious Schofield, promoted to Golden Boy.

If he fights the 22-year-old Schofield (18-0, 12 KOs) with just one arm, he’ll be forced to run all night to avoid being overwhelmed by punches from the young man’s power.
