Nothing was pretty from both attacks in this game, but Seattle Seahawks came away with a critical victory over the Chicago Bears, 6-3, on “Thursday Night Football”.
Seattle moved to 9-7 on the season and will be looking to see what the Los Angeles Rams do against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday night as the Week 18 matchup between the two teams will determine the winner of the NFC West.
Meanwhile, bears they are looking at next season already at 4-12.

As the score shows, no touchdowns were scored in this game as both teams struggled to find payoffs.
It didn’t look like that would be the case when the Seahawks’ first drive of the game ended on an incomplete pass from Gen Smith to Tyler Lockett on third-and-three from Chicago’s nine-yard line.
They moved the ball well early in the game, settling for a field goal, but seemed to have a game plan to beat the Bears defense.

That wasn’t the case with three straight Seattle drives before settling for another field goal late in the first half. However, Caleb Williams and the Bears’ offense didn’t do much to spoil the play from their end.
Chicago led by a total of 11 plays in the first three drives, continually stalling until some life appeared in the fourth. In fact, it looked like we had the first touchdown of the game when Williams found fellow rookie Romeo Odunze for a 17-yard score with 3:27 left in the second quarter.
But right guard Jake Curhan was called for offensive holding, nullifying the touchdown, and the Bears ended up settling for three points – their only score of the game.
The second half was not visible on the scoreboard, as both attacks showed incompetence. However, there was one other moment the Bears appeared to score, and that was on defense after he forced Seahawks receiver Pharoah Brown into a loop.

Kyler Gordon took the ball and raced 62 yards to the house. However, Gordon was later ruled to have gone down on contact, nullifying another Bears touchdown. Six plays later, generating just one total yard, the Bears punted.
In the final play of the game, the Bears were in control and despite the lack of goals, they still had a chance to at least tie the game and force overtime. Williams kept the drive alive with multiple scramble plays, including a pick-up on a quarter-and-five to find DJ Moore to move the chains.
However, facing a fourth-and-10 out of Cairo Santos’ reach, Williams was forced to launch one into the air on a blanket hit by Seattle and was intercepted to seal the victory for the Seahawks.
On the stat sheet, Smith was 17 of 23 for 160 yards, while Zach Charbonnet, starting again in place of the injured Kenneth Walker III, ran for 57 yards on 15 carries. Kenny McIntosh added 46 yards on seven carries.

For the Bears, Williams was 16-of-28 for 122 yards with his interception. Moore was the top receiver with six catches for 54 yards, while D’Andre Swift had 53 yards rushing and 28 yards catching on the night.
