Earl Charles Spencer lost a part of himself when his sister Princess Diana was killed almost three decades ago.
May 15 appeared on “loose men” In honor of the week of consciousness of mental health, where he talked about sadness and sisters.
“It’s such an amputation,” said the 60-year-old. “You grow up with these people, they are your meat and blood, they are with you forever, and then there are none.”

“Years after Diana died, I would think,” I have to call her and tell her something, “because we shared the same sense of humor,” he recalled. “And just understand, of course, that won’t happen.”
The author described how his great sister played a key role in childhood.
“While your family bends naturally on yourself – you lose your parents – I have two older sisters I adore,” Spencer explained. “They are quite older than me, so I no longer share my childhood with anyone. And it’s a great loss that you can never really correct.”

The world, along with Spencer, watched Diana develop from a shy teenage nursery into a glamorous celebrity person who comforted patients with AIDS. Immediately became the name of a household when it married the future King Charles III 1981, when she was 20 years old. They welcomed two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, before the couple announced the separation of 1992. Their divorce ended in 1996.
Spencer said that even as a teenager, he felt urgency to protect his sister from “the photographer who tortured her.”
“I remember just before she died, a female journalist wrote a truly terrible article, because at that stage I don’t think the journalist thought about Diana as a person,” Spencer said. “There was something to make money or anything else.”

“I wrote her a bitter letter and I was a little with her,” he said. “I think, especially as the sister’s brother, you always want to get stuck.”
During Diana’s funeral, Spencer denied the ruthless British press, which in his life persecuted his beloved brothers.
Spencer was 42 years old when he first discovered a therapist he had sexually abused as a child. At that time “hit the bottom of the rock.” Seventeen years later, she described in detail the trauma he endured in the memoir, a “very private school”.

He never told Diana about his experience in Maidwell Hall, an elite English boarding school. But as he struggled with the lonely far from his family, he often thought about his sister.
“She was the closest person who grew up,” he told Fox News Digital 2024. “We had two much older sisters and a baby brother who died. At the time, Diana and I were. We were very close. And, in fact, it was one of the devastation sent. She was sent a year ahead of me, but for the first few years.

“We did everything together,” he shared. “Together we went to a very gentle elementary school, daily school, [before boarding school]. She was an absolutely lovely older sister of a little boy whose parents divorced and had a rather traditional English upbringing. We were allies. “

At the time, spokesman Maidwell Hall did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. Previously, this was said “today” that he informed the authorities that investigate crimes against children. School officials also encourage any past students with similar experiences.
Today, Spencer hopes that the school will now deal with its past “in a sincere way.”
