“We are relaxed with the loss of our co -founder, colleague and friend. Our hearts go out to their families and everyone who is affected by today’s tragedy,” the music agency, Sound Talent Group wrote in a statement, wrote.
In 2018, Shapiro faced Sound Talent Group along with the team Borror and Matt Andersen. The agency represented a diverse list of artists, including Pierce The Veil, Parkway Drive, Sum 41 and Vanessa Carlton.
Shapiro was a strong advocate of independent musicians and co -founder of the National Organization for Independent Talents. It is included in the Billboard list “30 Under 30” from 2012, which recognized the stars in the rise in the party. Industry veterans say Shapiro has traced the path to the formation of other independent agencies and helped many alternative bands find the audience in the main course.

The honors were poured out of all the music industry, and many praised Shapir’s dedication to the artists and his true character.
Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley deserved Shapiro to help build a rock band during a “low point” in their career.
“His opinion is so important to me,” Whibley said. “He was the guy I would go for advice on things.”

Nate Blasdell, a former lead guitarist for the band I lit my friends, said he was “absolutely broken.”
“Dave was the first reservation agent I have ever worked with and he was the main part of my music career in my late teenage years,” he said in a post on X.
“He was truly the best in the game and one of the most respected people in the industry.”
In addition to his work in Music industryShapiro was an avid aviation. He owned Velocity Aviation, a flight school offering lessons in San Diego and Homer, Alaska.
