A tragic discovery was made on the flight from Chicago to Maui on Christmas Eve.
A United Airlines spokesperson confirmed to Fox News Digital that upon arrival at Kahului Airport in Maui on Tuesday, a body was found in the wheel of one of the main landing gears of the United plane.
Flight 202 has taken off O’Hare Airport at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 24 and landed at Kahului Airport in Maui at 2:12 p.m. local time, according to the United Airlines website.
An airline spokesman said the wheel was only accessible from outside the aircraft.

The aircraft was a Boeing 787-10.

“At this time it is unclear how or when the person accessed the wheel,” the spokesman said.
An airline company added that he is working with law enforcement on the investigation.
