Pentagon ends the treatment for the transition of gender for transgender troops, states in a new memorandum because officials are moving in the implementation of the president Donald Trump Plan to start transgender troops from the US Army.
According to the instructions, the Ministry of Defense prohibits any new hormone treatments or surgical procedures for transgender troops, the Memo states, Reuters reported.
“I direct you to take the necessary steps to implement these guidelines immediately,” he wrote in a letter that the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Issues was written by Stephen Ferrara.

One transgender service member described the move as a “latest slap in the face” to honor the troops honorably.
“If there is no doubt, there are no more: members of transgender services are no longer entitled to the same standard of medical care as their peers,” said a member of the service to Reuters, speaking on the condition of anonymity for fear of being targeted.

“If this is true – we will find any possible way to stop it,” Hegsetth wrote. “Taxpayers should never pay this madness.”

Memo released last week revealed that Hegsetth had issued instructions to start ejecting transgender troops that did not depart voluntarily until June 6th.
Trump signed an executive order in January shortly after returning to the White House, which revealed the Biden administration policy that allowed the transgender troops to serve.
Officials have said that there are 4,240 American active and national guards, although some transgender rights advocates say the number may be even higher.
