Mayor of New York Eric Adams In detail, his plan for the fight against growing anti -Semitism at the Faculty Campuses across the city and emphasized the creation of a new mayor’s office for the fight against anti -Semitism during the CNN appearance of the “Room for the situation” on Friday.
The mayor called the increasing “anti-Jewish” and “anti-American” feelings at the college campuses in New York City And he noted that the two of them were “bound”.
Adams also addressed the issue of growing anti -Semitism in public schools in New York, referring to two newsletters that allegedly distributed public schools that celebrated the Hamas terrorist organization.

“We have seen two newsletters that came out that really left the impression of raising Hamas and what Hamas advocated,” Adams told Anchor Wolf Blitzer. “Hamas is a terrorist, a dangerous organization and this cannot be tolerated in our public school system.”
In an effort to be proactive about this question, Adams said the city used a program called “Breaking Crue, building bonds” for the unification of the community against anti -Semitism.
“We have had over 1,000 dinners in the last few years where people sit and communicate with each other, and then watch the information they have been printed, sent to all agencies in a city that have any form of procurement contract with hatred or anti -Semitism entities,” Adams said. “It’s about being really only reactive to cases that appear, but also proactive.”

Blitzer asked Adamas what makes the free speech activists who criticize Deportation of foreign students Attending US universities to express their “pro-Palestinian” views and that it will ensure the protection of students of the first amendment, while fighting anti-Semitism.
“Well, think about it, a wolf,” Adams replied. “Last year, we had over 3000 protests that followed after October 7th, 3,000 people managed to express concern, take the right to freedom of speech.”
Adams continued: “This city, when you look at different protests, practicing freedom of speech, people who give their views with 8.5 million people, do it in a neat way. We allow people to do so. You can look at the march that happened in this city, because that is what we believe in. This is a city with free speech, which is crucial and important.
