Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James had a message for the NFL after the team’s close win over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night.
James scored 31 points and had 10 assists as Austin Reaves’ go-ahead basket gave the Lakers a 115-113 victory. But with the NFL creeping up on what it used to be The most exciting day of the NBA regular season, James sent the league a warning shot.

“I love the NFL. I love the NFL. But Christmas is our day,” he declared.
Last year, the NFL scheduled three games on Christmas Day because it fell on a Monday. This year, two games were scheduled on Christmas Day. In 2022, regular season games fell on Christmas Day.
NFL officials said last year that the league would not schedule any games on Christmas Day if it was outside of the normally scheduled day.

“We saw an opportunity with Thanksgiving and some of the audience we continued to build there,” said Hans Schroeder, the NFL’s executive vice president of media distribution. The Wall Street Journal at that time. “We think there’s an opportunity when the calendar allows and now on Christmas, when we know our fans will be together.”
It wasn’t until four months later that the league turned around.

The report states that the NFL would typically dedicate that day to the NBA and other programs and even move the old NFL championship from Christmas if it fell on that day.
This year, NFL games were watched on Netflix. When the grades come out, everyone will be able to see if James is right.
