Kristin Cavallari She stands at her decision to distance herself from her father.
In a recent interview for People, The 38-year-old reality star opened up about her decision that she had cut her father from life, calling her the “best decision I had ever made.”
“I mean, honestly, this could sound confused to some people, but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made, cutting my father from my life. Such a weight was raised by me,” she told the socket. “There is no one day when I miss me. I don’t know if it was two or three years ago, but I mean, I was an adult, say I was 35 years old [when I decided]. It was 35 years of accumulation to that point. “
She continued to explain that it was “something I wanted to do” and it was only after “crossed the border with my children” and would not apologize for pulling the trigger.

“Like, you just shut me off. I no longer have time for that,” she continued. “If someone does not bring you joy, if people only bring you hurt and sadness and anger, what is the point? Even if it is a parent, life is too short.”
The real star first opened up because of her decision that she pulled her father out of her life in December 2023. While appearing at her podcast, “Let’s be honest,” in which she spoke with psychologist Dr. Sherrie Campbell.
“I mean, honestly, this might sound confused to some people, but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made, cut a father from my life. Such a weight was raised by me.”

“But then he’s the agile side of it, sometimes he would put me on this pedestal and talk me,” she said on her podcast. “Now, as an adult who looked back, it was when it used you and made you look good.”
She further elaborated that this was growing up with her father in the episode of Podcasta Bunnie Xo in December 2024, a “stupid blonde”, where she described the relationship as “so many layers. It is so complicated …. It’s really disgusting.”
Cavallari called his contact with his father “the last thing I needed to do on my medicinal journey,” even comparing her mother with Cutler with her relationship with her father, saying, “I repeated the pattern with my father.”
“I didn’t do my job on my relationship with my father. That’s what you do. In the end, I married my father,” she said. “And so it really forced me to go through my S —, which I did. When we divorced For the last five years, quite honestly, I really took the time to make it wrong with that-I am so wrong. “
