The Kremlin claims that all Ukrainian troops have been expelled from the Russian Kursk region and confirmed the role of North Korean troops in the first war.

On Saturday, Chief of General Staff Valery Gersimov told President Vladimir Putin that Ukraine’s forces were rejected nine months after their wonderful attacks – which was first in the Russian region since World War II. Gerasimov claimed that Ukraine suffered “huge losses”.

“The adventure of the Kiev rule has completely failed,” Putin said with a careful orchestrated video meeting that was aired on state television.

Ukraine opposes the version of Russia; A senior officer told the Financial Times that Putin’s claim was “Bullshit”. The officer emphasized that Kiev’s forces still hold the land in the Kursk region, though the area that controls it has dropped about 30 square kilometers away from about 1,300 sq km to August.

The Kremlin’s claim came when US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Vloadimire Jelnsky had a brief meeting at the Vatican before the Pope Francis funeral. They first saw each other personally since their explosive meeting in the Oval Office in February.

Trump said that Russia and Ukraine were “very close” to agree to an agreement after meeting his special envoy Steve Witcoof on Friday to meet in Moscow for the fourth round of talks in Moscow.

However, Putin on Saturday suggested that he wanted to continue the war. “The complete defeat of the enemy in the Border region of the Kurske Border created the conditions for more successful steps in the forefront of the enemy in the Kursk Border region,” he told Gerasimov.

Gerasimov praised North Korean soldiers for their adventure that they fought “shoulder to shoulder” with their Russian comrades. According to Ukrainian, South Korea and American governments, more than 12.5 troops were deployed in North Korea in the region. Moscow has not officially acknowledged their presence before.

Ukraine’s general activists said that Russia’s claims “do not match reality”, calling them “promoted driving” and “deliberate thoughts”.

It says “protective operation … continues in certain areas of the Kursk region”. “Operational situations are difficult, but our units hold specific positions when damaging the enemy from all kinds of weapons with active defense techniques and continues to hold specific positions.”

It said that five enemy attacks were canceled and another war was underway, he added that its units have no threat to enclosure, which is present in the neighboring Belgorod region of Russia. That operation is smaller than Kursk; Zensky says that creating a “buffer zone” to prevent the Russian attack from this region.

Last August, Ukraine shocked Russia when its forces crossed the border and stormed the border, taking a surprise of the war to bring the war to Russia, taking several hundred war prisoners and a land of land, including Sudha.

The army was willing to take risks to occupy the speed of the warfare. Although it enhances morale and leads to the release of several hundred Ukrainian war prisoners, the goal of holding the region has been swept away due to a bid in this region of Jelnsky.

On Saturday, Russian officials gave a lot of credit for his role in returning Ukraine forces to North Korea, praising soldiers for their “heroism” in the war.

North Korean troops have had success in the small group -backed group -backed by Artillery and Air Support. They quickly became known for their determination and obedience to their leader, Kim Jong U. Ukraine captured the two, who were imprisoned in Kiev.

Pyongyang provided Moscow to Moscow 170 mm M. 1989 self-driven Howtzers, and updated 240 mm multiple launch rocket systems to fight in the Kurske region, shared with FT according to Ukrainian intelligence.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova praised Pyongyang’s contribution to the battle, and wrote on social media, “We will never forget our friends.”
