The sports world remained stunned on Sunday night as the John Brenkus family, host “Sport Science”, which was seen During ESPN The segments have announced their death on social media.

A statement posted on his social network page said Brenkus “lost the fight” with depression at the end of the month.
“It is precisely with deep sadness that we share the news that John Brenkus has died,” the statement said. “John, co-founder of Base Productions, founder Brinx.TV, and the co-founder and host of a 6-time award-winning” Sports Science “Emmy, fought depression.
“John lost the fight with this terrible illness on May 31, 2025. His cardiac family and friends seek privacy at the moment and encourage anyone who struggles with depression to seek help.”
