“For me, wrestling has always been a dream. I know it’s so excessive, but for me I was really locked every Monday, every Thursday. On Sunday I would watch a small too high payment channel on display just to look at what kind of pay for the view,” he said. “For me, it was praying for the latest ‘Smackdown Vs. Raw’ (video game). Going to my friend’s house and we would play that all day and night.”
Troy said football was no longer fun because he competed for Panther and ended his collegial career.
In the end, he said that a point came where football was no longer fun. The sport that grew up for love turned out with him.
“Me and my brother, we would always talk about wrestling together,” he said. “I played football and I was fortunate to have managed to play football but as (Tyra Mae Steele) he said, just got to a point where she was no longer fun.
“It stopped being about things that made me loved a sport, especially at the Faculty level, the level of D1. There were so many more factors that I was exposed to at the time, but I don’t think I was mature enough to adjust to my environment, as well as other guys from my team.”
He said the time came when he had to make a decision on what came next and his heart was placed on Pro Wrestling. He said he had the support of his coaches, but they begged him to finish school first.
“When Covid hit, I just had the opportunity to look away from football for a year and really understand what I wanted to do with my life,” he told Fox News Digital. “I love football and I could continue to chase this dream and see how much I could really do it and I just constantly see more wrestling on my TV during a man.
“It was all the perfect time for me. As soon as I made my professional day, I tried WWE, and after that I just fell in love, and that was it. It was a fire I had when I was a kid. It was a whole new experience for me, and after that I said,” I finished football. “
