Two members of the Southern Texas gang were convicted of smuggling peopleAfter a series of fast chasers on the border involving one of the gang members who knocked down his car in Rio Grande and swam in Mexico to escape.
Statement on Monday American immigration and customs implementation (Ice) They said that two human smugglers, Juan Miguel Regalado, 28, and Samuel Grajeda Jr., 21, members “Puro Tango Blast”, a local Texas gang.
The two were convicted on May 15 after being convicted of conspiracy for the transportation of unfathomable immigrants, after an investigation by ICE, US border patrols of the Ladry Sector and the Texas Department of Public Security.
US District Judge John Kazen imposed a 66-month sentence for Regalado, while Grajeda had previously received a 30-month prison, as well as for a consecutive six months for violating the conditions of his supervised release on the previous ruling on transport. Both have to serve three years of supervised release.
They both admitted that they had participated in the conspiracy of the smuggling of people.

According to the ICE, the investigation began on April 20, 2024, when a group of suspects of illegal foreigners entered the green Tahoe in the border sector, north of Larem in Texas.
The statement states that Regalado drove and waged a high speed chasing police, during which “more individuals jumped out of the vehicle”.

Riding up to 100 miles per hour, Regalado knocked Tahoe to Rio Grande, then went on fleeing swim across the river to Mexico.
Authorities continued to monitor the area in the next few months. In November 2024, another group of illegal foreigners entered the white Ford bull parked in the area. The authorities followed the vehicle until another vehicle, black Mercedes, cut them off. Ice said two vehicles were driving a building and a regalado.

The Ford Taurus traffic stop led to another chase behind the vehicle where the gradue crashed into a passerby vehicle. The implementation of the law eventually discovered the Ford Taurus abandoned in the neighborhood of northern laredo. The authorities then found four illegal strangers and a building and a regalade near an abandoned vehicle.

Both band members are currently in custody.
Craig Larrabee, Ice’s Homeland Security Investigation, Special Agent San Antonio, said that “these sentences reflect the serious consequences that are awaiting those who deal with the smuggling of man and endanger public security.”
Larrabee said that “Bandi Tango Blast members bring countless life in danger during these reckless quests” and that “through strong cooperation with our federal and state partners to enforce the law, we are still dedicated to the removal of violent criminal organizations and the protection of our communities.”
