Huge waves strike Peruvian coastline

Three out of four ports in Peru have been closed due to the huge waves hitting the coast.

Beaches are closed and fishing boats are not allowed to go out to sea as a precaution.

The waves are caused by persistent winds off the coast of the United States, according to the head of the Peruvian Navy, Enrique Varea.
