Sen. Josh Hawley, R -issouriHe said on Monday that the local communities face “destruction” and that the state will need a federal emergency management agency (FEMA) financing “least” after the violent tornadoes have taken dozens of life during the weekend.
Hawley, who spoke with Fox News Digital on the phone while passing through Missouri district ravaged by a stormemphasized that “a lot of people hurt”.
“These are not just pieces of real estate,” Hawley explained. “I mean, these are the homes where people grew up. These are the fourths where families raise their children returning two, three, four, generations. I talked to one guy who was in the neighborhood. His family had been in the neighborhood since his great -grandmother came there at the turn of the last century.”
“If they will not need to renew them, the federal government will need a big role here with the relief of FEMA, with a disaster relief and want to get it all as soon as possible,” he said.

Fox Weather reported that the grade of powerful storm was at least ef-3turning houses and companies on its way to ruins.
There were at least 26 people killed over the weekend in the entire region. Government Kentucky Andy non -Cemear said that the number of deaths in Kentucky only sits at the age of 19, and Hawley’s office said the Count in Missouri is at least 7.
“We lost 19 people at this time event, each of whom is a child of God who will miss their families,” said Benear Ua Post on x. “Please continue to pray for them, 10 people treated at a hospital in the UK and for all affected by these storms.”

Hawley’s pressure on Fem’s help comes as he called the Homeland Security Secretary of Kristi Noem eliminating the agency as there is today.
In addition to calling for federal help, Hawley also quickly pointed out that private insurance providers would have to step up and pay fairly to pay for help in efforts to recover, noting that he was “in the midst of an investigation of the main insurance companies”.
“I spoke with a person for a person today whose roofs are to be torn off, whose windows are away,” Hawley told Fox News Digital. “These people need to pay their policies. They were faithful premium owners, faithful premium payers. They need paid policies. And that will make a huge, huge difference.”
Recovering from destruction could take some time in local communities, and it was announced that approximately 700,000 lost forces in the entire region during the storm height.
“I expect our governor to apply for emergency cases for aid in disasters soon, and we would surely hope that Fema will act on it. Asap,” Hawley added.
