Harvard files suit over Trump move to end visa program

Harvard takes Trump’s administration to court because of his decision to abolish a university student visual program.

Harvard said that politics would influence more than 7,000 visas owners and that “an obvious violation of the first amendment, a procedure clause and the Administrative Procedure Act” his court festivities.

The Homeland Security Department (DHS) has switched to the abolition of the program after Harvard reportedly failed to provide extensive records of the behavior of the student visas the department requested. DHS offered Harvard 72 hours on Thursday to match the request.

So far, Harvard can no longer enroll in foreign students in the school year 2025-2026, and existing foreign students must convey or lose their legal status in order to stay in the US before the start of the next academic year.

Records requested include any footage of protest activities involving students on visas and disciplinary records of all students on visas in the last five years.

Records requested also include recordings or documentation on illegal, dangerous or violent activities by the owners of student visas, any recording of threats or withholding the rights of other students or university staff.
