Donald Trump plans to announce a new trade agreement with the UK on Thursday, people familiar with the discussion said what Britain could do in multiple countries to reduce commercial tensions with Washington.
Trump In a post on his true social platform on Wednesday night, a “big press conference” coming “is a large, and highly respected, related to a large trade agreement with representatives of the country.”
The expected UK-US Agreement is one of the 17 agreements that the Trump administration has aimed to sign with its big trade partners because it is leaning on obvious tariffs in countries that announced April 2.
The expected agreement on Thursday and the details was not clear.
The Report to the Financial Times On Tuesday, Washington and London were closer to agreeing to a trade agreement that offers low-term quota for British cars and steel exports that will surround Trump’s “Release Day” duty impact.
The New York Times first said that Thursday’s trade declaration is related to the UK.
Earlier this month, Trump had stopped sale in the global stock market after hitting up to 50 percent with “mutual” tariffs on almost every US trading partner.
The Trump administration officials have since discussed with Canada, Mexico, Japan, Vietnam and India as well as multiple countries, though it is unclear how much tariff relief will provide for the United States.
The White House and the British Embassy in Washington did not respond to the request to comment.
