The White House says Donald Trump has transferred automaker to Mexico and Canada for tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada, the White House reported.
White House Press Secretary Karolin Levit said the US President spoke to Stelantis, Ford and General Motors on Wednesday.
Levit has added that this concession will apply to the terms and conditions of the 2021 trade agreement between the United States, Mexico and Canada.
“The President is giving them a discount for a month so that they are not in economic difficulty,” Live said.
The Trump administration came in Canada and Mexico to 25 percent of tariffs on imports and an additional 10 percent tariff in China a few days after the imposition of tariffs.
