The Faculty of Laws at Columbia University condemned the administration response to Anti-Israeli protest at the campus library on Wednesday, resulting in dozens of arrests.
A letter of executive committee of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) in Columbia intended to solve “joint management erosion” denied the decision made by President Claire Shipman to invite NYPD for help.
The protest broke out on Wednesday afternoon when anti-Israeli agitators broke into the Butler Library, occupying the Reading Room from the inside and breaking one of the outside doors of the building. Two police officers at the campus were also injured during the protest.

AAUP was also loud in his criticism of Columbia for punishing, suspending and expulsion of students involved in Anti-Israeli protest at the campus.
One of the recommendations of the group includes a radical improvement of “Protocol of Mediation, Counseling and Deescalation for Currently Disorders in Campus, especially student protests.”
