The longtime CNN correspondent Alex Marquardt comes out of the liberal network less than five months after his reporting helped cost a company millions as a result a slander testFox News Digital confirmed.

“Some personal news: I leave CNN after 8 great years. It is hard to say goodbye, but it was an honor to work among the best in business. Deep thanks to my friends on the national security team and phenomenal teammates I worked with in the USA abroad,” Marquardt posted on X.

Former CNN media correspondent Oliver Darcy reported That Marquardt was fired due to “editorial differences”, but Marquardt was unclear when announcing news on social media on Monday.
