More than 3,000 artists have written to protest against the auction industry planning created by artificial intelligence in the latest reaction of the creative industry against the threat raised by the generator AI models.
In a letter to the auction house, the artists expressed “serious concern” that many artworks that were sold were created using the AI model that was reported to be trained in copyrighted work without licenses.
Although many of the creative industries from music to film, media and industry have no objection to the development of AI models – and often use these national equipment in their own work – they are worried that the most popular many do not pay for copyrighted materials. They can be used for training AI models that can replace or even replace the original task.
The letter states that “these models and companies behind them exploit human artists, using their work without allowing or paying for commercial AI products that compete with them,” the letter states in the letter. “Your support of these models and people who use them are ‘ai agencies’ awards and more encouraging human artists’ work for mass theft.”
Christian’s inauguration AI Art Auction, known as Agriculture Intelligence, claims that AI models are the first artificial intelligence-depicted sales at a large auction house that features artists. The auction will be held in New York.
AI Art is a growing area of the market, defined as an industry that is made with AI equipment or extended. Nicole Sales Gils, Digital Art Director A. ChristieIt was said that AI was “no alternative to human creativity.. It enhances the human spectrum of creativity”.

In response to the letter, Christie said that “all the artists represented in this sales have many powerful artistic practices, some are recognized in top museum collection. These auctions are using artificial intelligence to enhance their work body.”
Musician and artist Ed Newton-Rax, one of the most signers of the letter and the rights of non-profit creators, said the founder of the fairly trained founder, but AI companies are using the work of other artists without permission or payment.
“I don’t blame artists for using them. However, Christie is an inherent condolences of absorption of AI products involved in selling these tasks for decades or thousands of dollars in the decade. I have become pretty ill at a time when so many artists are watching their livelihood by the same products. “
The auction highlights the complex debate in the creative industry on AI, whether the artists are divided about the use of AI and whether the technology will become the main tool of the creative process. Other parts of the art community have supported the sale, some even accept the application and create pieces of digital industry using words and images.
The logic over technology and industry is the latest flashpoint before the completion of the AI and creative industries by the UK government.
Under the proposals, the UK government will propose to discount copyright laws, allowing technology companies to use to training AI models, starting from music and books to media and photos unless rights holders are covered by the right holders.
These plans have raised agencies in music, filmmaking, industrial and media industries given the “Opt Out” system, which can be expensive and difficult for the police.
