A seven-year-old boy has been killed and other children injured after a stabbing at a primary school in Croatia.
The country’s health ministry said another teacher was injured in a knife attack in Zagreb on Friday. The attacker, a 19-year-old man and former student, was arrested at the scene, local media reported.
Footage showed police, ambulance crews and law enforcement teams outside the building.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said he was “horrified” by what happened at Precko Elementary School.
Two adults and five children are in hospital with injuries, according to the Ministry of Health.
Speaking to reporters outside the children’s hospital, Minister of Health Irena Hrstic said the attacker entered the school before stabbing staff and students.
