Clovis, California, will be epicenter In a political battle over trans athletes in girls’ sports this weekend.
The city should host the national championship Nationally in the center of light In the middle of a trans -a -carriage that competes in the girls’ category after the president Donald Trump This week he called on the situation on the truth of Social.
Dianne Pearce, the mayor of the city mayor, told Fox News Digital to actively lobby that Trump has been aware of the situation for weeks and involving her fellow local officials.
“I was in contact with the White House Legal Affairs Office to see what would be needed from this community, from the Cltsis area to show our support for the efforts of Trump’s administration to respect California with the title IX and its [“Keeping Men out of Women’s Sports”] Executive command, “Pearce said.

Pearce said that her path to the involvement of the White House had “enhanced the voices” of the residents of the city, who support only athletes competing in maiden sports.
Pearce succeeded in this goal, who culminated in a press conference involving state and local leaders who spoke in support of Trump’s executive order and against Democrats for enabling transcendants to play in sports about girls in California on the eve of the championship match.
Pearce says Trump’s fasting was a driving factor in driving enthusiasm due to the cause.
At a press conference, Pearce’s statements were presented, Cllovis Unified School of District Committee Tiffany Stoker Madsen, State MP David Tangip, who represents the district of Clovis, Ambassador of the American House of Vince Fong, who also represents the district where Cllovis is based, Everyone is a trurt.
“We have to advocate what is true and what is fair, especially in areas where biological differences make a difference,” said Stoker Madsen. “What happens in women’s sports is wrong.
Other residents and local officials, including Mayor Vong Mouanoutou, stood behind the speakers in solidarity with the Pro-trump attitude.
While Mouanoutou and Pearce are both Republicans, Cltsis as a city has tilted to the left in recent years, although less left to other parts of the deep blue state. Fresnus City County voted for Trump in the 2024 elections with a margin of 50.9% to 46.5%. However, the county voted Democrats in all previous 2008 presidential elections.
It seems that the issue of trans athletes has potentially pushed the city, or at least its leadership, even more in Trump’s corner. And the residents will closely look at the impact of the problem on the title this weekend.
The State Title meeting will be held at Veteran Buchanan Memorial Stadium, with a preliminary circle on Friday and the finals on Saturday. The event is expected to have protesters and security.

In Trump’s Tuesday, the truth of the social post claimed that he would “order the local authorities, if necessary, not to allow the transfer of a person to compete in the national final.”
Pearce said that she had no knowledge that she had announced this to the city police forces.
“As far as I know it didn’t happen,” she said.
A spokesman for the Unified Police Directorate Cltsis told Fox News Digital that they were also not aware of any communication with Trump, which includes security procedures for the event. Still, Pearce expects a vigilant presence of police at the event.
“They are ready to ensure that the national championship this weekend is a safe environment for our athletes and their families and those who decide to go out and support them this weekend,” Pearce said.
Once the competition begins, all eyes will be on the athlete, AB Hernandez from Jurup Valley High School. Hernandez dominated the long jump and a triple jump in this postseason, taking first place in both events in the
Hernandez has collected supervision during the dominant post -season run of athletes, often to viewers who have watched at meetings. Pearce hopes that viewers will be treated with Hernandez with respect during the event on Friday and Saturday.
“I expect people to treat this athlete with compassion. I think, unfortunately, the failures of the adults who set this policy have created this situation. They allowed this athlete to be in a position in which a controversy surrounds him wherever he goes, and I think it’s unhappy,” Pearce said.
“I don’t think anyone should do anything to do him insecure while he’s in Clovis competing, but again, it’s unfair to be in the division for girls.”
Pearce said her “worst scenario” for a meeting of this weekend will be a lack of respect and security for any of the competitors involved.
“If there is something that does not respect and causes security and security of the environment and atmosphere, that would be terrible,” Pearce said. “These children deserve better than that. The adults have already missed them at the legislative level and the level of politics by the CIF, I hope that these students do not betray them.”
What Pearce hopes to see athletes win in their events. However, it was also prepared for greater potential relegation than the encounter after helping to attract Trump’s attention to the situation.
Trump’s insistence on the implementation of his executive order has already resulted in a months -long quarrel between his administration and the state of Maine under the control of Democrats. FEUD has resulted in multiple freezing financing, which has already reversed a lawsuit against the state by the USA Ministry of Justice.

Since the Ministry of Justice has launched an investigation against California this week after Trump’s post, Pearce knows that its state could be in line to reduce financing in the matter. In addition, as a public employee, she knows that this could affect her and colleagues, but Pearce would fully support any reduction in the funds for her state anyway. It is not a difficult decision to support her.
“It is not a difficult decision to come, because it is more important to me that our girls and their premises be respected and protected,” Pearce said. “If they have to endanger this action against the CIF, Governor Newsom and state legislation to withdraw federal financing from the state, again, the decision rests on these leaders. They can do the right thing, and we don’t even have to talk about it.”
