Bryan Kohberger’s The defense team on Thursday suggested that there are “alternative perpetrators” and wants to include theory during the trial.
During the hearing on Thursday, Judge Steven Hippler revealed that the Kohberger’s defense team filed an application that suggested an alternative suspect. Kohberger is charged with first degree murder November 13, 2022. Death of the University of Idahu Students of Xan Kernodle, 20, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21 and Ethan Chapin, 20.
Hippler did not rule whether to allow the Kohberger’s defense team to present the “alternative perpetrators” theory during the trial, but he asked for more evidence that supported their claim.

“Allow me all the real evidence that supports these allegations, not just the allegations. And two, give me, how do you believe that what you offered is allowed?” Said Hippler. “It seemed to me that a lot of what you put there was quite … potentially quite objective in the sense of … acceptability. So, I would like to see that.”

The hearing on the matter is scheduled for June 18th. Hippler defined the deadline for Kohberger’s defense team on May 23 to support evidence that support their theory of alternative suspects.
Former Murder Detective and Fox News associate Ted Williams told Fox News Digital that the legal maneuver of Kohberger’s defense team was “Hail Mary”.

“This is the Last-minute hail of Mary by the defense that pointed his fingers to another suspect or suspect. They did not appoint that suspect in the open court,” Williams said.

“When he comes before the jury, even if they can only get one juror and create a reasonable doubt, that a juror could hang this trial and they do everything they could would not have a judgment against Bryan Kohberger,” he said.
Fox News Digital addressed Kohberger’s lawyer for comment.
