Undefeated middleweight Eric Priest gave Tyler ‘Herk’ Howard a boxing lesson in a ten-round submission for the vacant WBA Continental North American title on Thursday night at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California.

Priest, 15-0 (8) defeated ‘Hertz’ Tyler Howard, 20-3 (11) in 10 rounds. In the first of four rounds, Priest’s jab was countered by an oncoming Howard. Priest drew blood from Howard’s nose in the last minute of the fourth round.
From the fifth to the tenth, Priest gave Howard a boxing lesson, using his jab to perfection as Howard came forward but couldn’t get over Priest’s jab. The scores were 100-90, 100-90 and 100-90.
The referee was Ray Corona.
South super featherweight Leonardo ‘Bazuka’ Sanchez, 8-0 (6), impressed, defeating Joseph ‘Jaguar’ Cruz, 10-12 (6) in six straight rounds.
For the first four rounds, it was all southpaws from Sanchez who had Cruz on the defensive with a flurry of punches. In the fifth round, Sanchez drew blood from Cruz’s nose.
Judge Rudy Barragan. All scores were 60-54.
Super welterweight Jordan ‘Patriot’ Panten 11-0 (9) defeated DeAundre ‘Dixieanimal’ Pettus 12-4 (7) in 10 rounds.
In the first round, Panten, the aggressor, did well but suffered a hairline cut from a clash of heads. From rounds two through six, Pettus came back well, countering Panteno, but not well enough to win the round. Both men had moments in the eighth round, with Panten outplaying Pettus.
The ninth and tenth laps went back and forth, and Panten ended up with a scratch around his left eye.
The referee was Thomas Taylor. Scores 100-90, 98-92 and 97-93.
Super welterweight Grant Flores, 8-0 (6), stopped David Lobo Ramirez, 17-4 (12) at 2:59 of the second round of a scheduled six-rounder.
In the second round, in the final seconds, Flores broke Ramirez’s nose, dropping him for 8, causing referee Ivan Guillermo to wave him off.
18-year-old Super Light Caden Griffiths, 3-0 (3), stopped Mark Misiura, 3-7-1 (3) at 1:43 of the second round of a four-rounder.
In the second round, Griffiths landed a left to the body and dropped Missiura, who got up at 9, but referee Rudy Barragan waved it off.
Bantamweight southpaw Jordan ‘Brazen Bull’ Fuentes, 3-0 (0) defeated Brandon ‘URIEL’ Badillo, 0-3-1 (0) in four rounds.
In the first two rounds of the southpaw, Fuentes faced an aggressive Badillo. In the third round, d Fuentes dropped Badillo with a right hook to the chin in the final fifteen seconds with an 8 count from referee Ivan Guillermo.
All scores were 40-35, 40-35 and 40-35.
