The soon-to-be-expiring Biden administration is acting as if an invading foreign power is about to take over and the house must be burned down to prevent the “decoys” from succeeding.

Over the past few weeks, the cynicism meter has gone up several notches due to decisions made by the outgoing president and others in his administration. First came the pardons Hunter Bidenand then roughly 1,500 others, including a former Pennsylvania judge who used his private prison system to incarcerate juveniles, pocketing the profits. Pennsylvania Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro tore into the pardon, saying Biden got it “absolutely wrong” in what he called the “kids for cash” scandal.

Among other questionable pardons and pardons was one given by Biden to Rita Crundwell, former comptroller of Dixon, Illinois. In 2013, Crundwell was sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for stealing nearly $54 million from the town of 15,000 people over two decades. It is said to be the largest urban fraud in US history. Crundwell, now 71, admitted defrauding the city and using the stolen funds to support a lavish lifestyle. According to WTTW, “officials have recovered only $40 million of stolen city money from court settlements, auditor work and proceeds from the liquidation of Crundwell’s assets.

MEET DONALD TRUMP’S CABINET: WHO HAS HE SELECTED AS THE NEW PRESIDENT SO FAR?

Biden was involved in the sale of steel barriers ordered during the previous Trump administration to build the wall and secure the southern border. These were materials paid for with taxpayers’ money. It’s part of what appears to be a cynical plan to thwart the incoming Trump team and make their job of controlling the border more difficult. I don’t remember such a transition in our history.

Then came the drones. The administration maintains that they are not American adversaries and do not pose a threat to public safety. They also claimed to know nothing about them. If they do not know anything, how can they claim that they are not from foreign entities and will not harm people?

BERNIE SANDERS BELIEVES PARDONING HUNTER BIDEN SETS A ‘DANGEROUS’ PRECEDENT

Drones have been seen over New Jersey and New York for weeks, and have recently been spotted over California and Nevada. A woman called a DC talk show and said she and her daughter saw 30 drones flying over southern Maryland. Former Maryland Republican Gov. Larry Hogan has released images of what he says are drones flying over his suburban Washington home. Without credible information coming from Biden administrationconspiracy theorists are in full swing, along with accusations of a cover-up.

While democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams says he will work with the incoming Trump administration to remove illegal immigrants from the country, even from his “sanctuary city,” other Democratic mayors and governors vow to resist deportation even of those who have committed crimes and to “protect Trump ” and states his cities.

Incoming “border czar” Tom Homan has promised to send teams of agents into resilient cities and states controlled by Democratic politicians and remove migrants. An October Fox News poll shows that they have the support of an overwhelming majority of Americans.

According to a poll of registered voters, support for deportation has risen dramatically since 2015. “Among nonwhite voters, 57 percent now support mass deportations, compared to just 33 percent who said they did in 2015. Additionally, 91 percent of Republicans now say they support deportations — an increase of 21 points since 2015. The support of rural voters increased by 20 points, urban by 19 points, and among men support increased by 16.” Even Democrats’ support for deportations rose to 42 percent from 34 percent in 2015.

That doesn’t seem to matter to the Biden administration, which still has five weeks to go. They act like they do Vice President Kamala Harrisnot Trump, he won the election and the voters can be ignored.

The second Trump administration will have a lot of work to clean up. If their promised policies prove to work, expect public approval to remain high as they and the Republican congressional majority seek to reverse the damage wrought by the Biden administration.
