The New York City Police Department investigates after a child is left in a bag near an apartment building in the Bronx.
Police responded to a 911 call just after 6 a.m. Sunday about a crying baby and found someone had put the girl wrapped in blankets in a bag and left the bag outside an apartment building on Rev. James A. Polite Avenue, according to the official.
The NYPD said baby, who has not yet been identified, was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition and remains under the care of hospital staff.
Hearing that this is even a thing is very disturbing for this neighborhood, a local told FOX 5 NY.
