The central liberal party in Australia has chosen Sissan Ley as its new leader, the first woman leading the party because it was built by the government after a destructive loss of election.
Ley was also the first woman who led to the Australian opposition of the country’s history. The first female minister of the country Julia Gillard, became the leader of the Labor Party in 2010 while at the office.
A former sobrier and air traffic controller, Ley served as a minister of health and activity in the world holding the power of Albisy at 203. During the past three years, he was the Deputy leader in the party.
Ley was viewed more rough than his opponent Angus Taylor, defeated a ballot of leadership of 29 votes up to 25, which could have avoided a step at the center of the earth after defeat.
“There should be a Liberal Party who respects modern Australia, showing modern Australia and represents modern Australia,” Ley said the first Press Conference in Canberra after the role. “I want to do different things, and need to have a new way.”
Ley is more likely to avoid ruling policies out of his height of the party leadership. While he said he supported the reduced carbon emissions, he was not committed to storing a policy of net zero emissions at 2050.
The new Liberal leader is also the first to represent a seat outside a major city in more than four decades placed by Farrer to support for Australian city centers. He needs to win city-based voters over the next three years.
Ley will face a long fight with government return to the next election, due to 2028, after the coalition suffered because of the creation of the vote on May 3.
In the latest count, the government’s government is primarily 94 from 150 seats in the parliament’s lower house, which the coalition of the electoral, just for 2022 elections, is made up of 77 seats.
Both of the liberal senators and lower-house representatives voted on the leadership ballot.
The news arrived at the albanese curse of his new cabinet on Tuesday morning unchanged including the repository Jim Chalmers and Foreign Minister Penny Wong. However, Factional Power Plays are flowing into the new team, with General and Minister of Attorney for the industry from the first term of Albanese from their portfolios.
Albanese will travel to Indonesia on Wednesday to meet President Provado Subianto, a symbolic first trip since highlighting the largest archipelago to the north of Australia.
