ASRA NOMANI: This is the woke army plotting to crash Trump’s inauguration

Last July, as anti-Israel crowds took to the streets of Washington, DC, to protest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress, Zaid Mohammed Mahdawi, 26, climbed atop a monument in Columbus Circle outside Union Station and allegedly spray-painted the ominous message: ‘HAMAS IS COMING ‘. He emphasized the warning with a red, inverted triangle, which the terrorist organization uses as a symbol to mark its targets.

Nearby, demonstrators tore down and burned an American flag to ashes, tackled US Park Police officers trying to arrest the agitators and wrote other threatening graffiti, including ‘DEATH 2 AMRIKKKA’, on memorials.

At 3:26 p.m., the US Park Police revoked the permit for the protest, which had been issued to the ANSWER Coalition, a self-proclaimed socialist organization based in Washington. Later, the FBI packed Mahdawi and other protesters with the destruction of government property.

“The licensee did not answer the phone and the call went straight to voicemail,” the FBI agent wrote in a fascinating affidavit that revealed someone at the gym Mahdawi used tipped off the FBI about his identity.

Almost six months later, the ANSWER coalition is ready to get it new permit to host another protest on Monday, according to a a copy of the application I got it from the National Park Service. Event title: “For Peace and Justice – Free Palestine.” The goal is obvious the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.

The behavior so far shows that the protests will bring chaos to the streets of the capital. Still, National Park Service spokesman Michael Litterst told me that current legal precedent makes it difficult to deny permits based on previous incidents.

Critics, such as leaders of the Clarity Coalition, a network of Muslims, ex-Muslims and allies who oppose extremism, say it is long past time to deny the permits. At the very least, the public needs to open their eyes wide to who is behind these protests.

As the protests develop, media coverage is likely to frame them as ‘organic’, ‘grassroots’ activities. But make no mistake: these events will be part of a larger, well-funded operation. The protesters are aligned with US adversaries, including Russia, China, Iran, North Korea and Hamas, and are united in an unholy alliance that conflates socialism with Islamism or political Islam.

This coalition, which I call “Awakened army,” operates as a red-green alliance, red symbolizing socialism and communism, and green representing Islam. These are the same groups that incited the so-called campus intifada camps across the country last year. Their ultimate goal is to dismantle American democracy and replace it with a socialist, anti-capitalist order the first way to counter this threat is through transparency, vigilance and dedication to the truth.

The filing listed the same “person in charge of the event” as in July: Brian Becker, the self-proclaimed Marxist founder of the ANSWER coalition.

Protest organizers say they have at least 50 groups of “supporters”, and their motives are far from fundamental. I created public database as part of my work on the Pearl Project, a non-profit journalism initiative, and, according to my analysis, 25 groups are self-described socialist organizations, five are Muslim, Arab, or Palestinian, and the last 20 are “socialist neighbors.” “

“Red” in this alliance includes:

• ANSWER Coalition: Marxist-Leninist group infamous for organizing protests that amplify anti-American and anti-Israel rhetoric.
• Code Pink: An anti-Israel group funded by Neville Roy Singham, a Shanghai-based American billionaire with ties to the Chinese Communist Party, according to New York Times report.
• Party for Socialism and Liberation: Advocates dismantling capitalism and aligning the US with socialist regimes.
• People’s Forum: A socialist group that serves as a stand-in for Singham’s pro-China agenda, also documented in the New York Times.
• Democratic Socialists of America: The largest socialist organization in the US and a major supporter of anti-Israel campaigns.

“Green” of this axis includes:

• Students for Justice in Palestine: Founded by University of California, Berkeley academic Hatem Bazian, this controversial group has sparked many anti-Jewish campus protests, which are now banned on many campuses.
• Palestinian Feminist Collective: Dedicated to “Palestinian liberation and beyond.”
• Palestinian Youth Movement: Dedicated to “mobilization, agitation and confrontation strategy.”
• USA Palestinian Community Network: Organized days of protest in Chicago to disrupt the Democratic Party convention.
• Muslim American Society: Created “Survive Pack,” with tips on building Liberation Zones campuses and a resource from the Council on American-Islamic Relations, whose co-founder, Nihad Awad, said “happy” about Hamas incursions into Israel on October 7.

The kit even offers social media captions, complete with a megaphone emoticon. They have the right to protest, but the world needs to open its eyes wide to who is behind the megaphone.
