First on the fox: In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital at the Jerusalem Post annual conference in New York, a special reaction envoy to hostage Adam Boehler responded to a report in the Washington Post Donald Trump threatened to leave Israel, unless the war ended up as “fake news”.
“That sounds like false news to me,” he said. “I think the president held a very high degree of support for Israel.” He added, “Maybe he says,” Hey, listen, let’s try to end the war, “he could speak strongly, but I think the US president, in particular, is the support of this president, the support of President Trump to Israel Iron.”
Separately, US Ambassador Israel Mike Huckabee also rejected that claim. In an interview with Israeli ynetHe said, “Their reporting is nonsense. They have to listen to what the president says – not what some uninformed” source “converts to know.”

Boehler emphasized that the main focus of the US government remains to ensure the release of 58 hostages that Hamas still held. “I think he apparently continued forward -the president. The president made it clear that he wanted something to come to a conclusion.”
“I know he and Steve [Witkoff] Currently they work very hard to try to bring it home. So, a very fluid situation, but our main focus is number one, hostages and number two, Israel safety, “he said.
On the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Boehler addressed the recent development of the opening of the boundaries to allow trucks to help in gauze after two months of blockade. Also talked about a new mechanism that supports the US that could potentially replace The relief and works of the United Nations Palestinian refugees (UNRWA).
“Maybe there should be a replacement for UNRWA. We had a lot of problems with the UN and if it succeeds, if he gets food to Palestinian people who need it, then I greatly favor me,” Boehler said.
Later, in an interview on stage at the Jerusalem Post conference, Boehler recalled the tense moments that were released by the US-Israeli soldier Edan Alexander. “It’s an amazing moment on Sunday. It was an amazing moment on Sunday. All the time, we couldn’t sleep. It was exciting, nervous. We were looking pretty in real time. We waited for Steve Witkoff to come. We waited for the Red Cross all the time. When we were, when it was up to date, it was on TV.

As for the time frame for the hostage agreement, Boehler expressed cautious optimism: “I think it’s getting closer and closer here. If Hamas wants to go out and make a legitimate offer, they are ready to stand and let go hostage, we are always open to it.”
He also attributed the recent Israeli land surgery to increase the pressure on the Hamas, saying, “I think we are closer than we have ever been. Part of this is because of the movement of Israel and IDF on the ground.”

Finally, addressing the recent joint statement of the United Kingdom leader, France and Canada, who condemned Israel’s military operations in Gaza and called for a direct truce, Boehler answered firmly. “The United States has always been an ardent supporter of Israel. If I were a European country, I would be especially sensitive in the way I criticize Israel.”
