The remains of former President Jimmy Carter arrived in Washington DC from his home in Georgia on Tuesday. His remains were flown in Special Air Mission 39 from Dobbins Air Reserve Base to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
After the car journey, his body arrived at the US Capitol, where he will lie in state for two days.
