Nikki Glaser enjoyed her 2025 Golden Globes co-host with Howard Stern on Monday and revealed a few jokes that were left on the cutting room floor.
Glaser, 40, told Stern that she “learned every joke by heart” from her opening monologue, where she celebrated “Ozempic’s Greatest Night,” before riffing on Ben Affleck and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The comedian, known for her recent roast of Tom Brady, admitted that she was afraid of “getting fired” for some content written for the awards show and decided to tell Stern jokes instead.

“I’d be remiss if I didn’t ask you what jokes you left out of your monologue last night. I’m always interested in that process,” Stern said. “So there were jokes you liked but couldn’t fit in or avoided doing for some reason. Do you have some examples?”

“Yeah, I have a lot of examples, but feel free to interrupt me anytime,” Glaser said.
“I put together a little mini setlist for you because, yeah, some of them are like they’ve been in the writers’ room. They’d get a show and they’d be like, ‘We can’t say that on TV. We can’t say that to these people’s faces .’ So I’d say, ‘Move it to Stern’s file. We can do it on Stern.'”

The 57-year-old actress, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in “Babygirl,” had a joke about her that was overlooked, according to Glaser. “This one … we shot it for promotion, and they almost aired it on CBS, and then we said I’m going to cancel it,” Glaser admitted.
“‘Wild Robot’ is nominated tonight, and I mean it Nicole Kidman after two white wines.”
Glaser also admitted, “I wish we had done it, but if she makes a face… I think she’d be cool with it, but you never know.”

“This is the last time you’ll all be in the same room together before Diddy’s trial.”
Stern asked, “Why didn’t you use that joke?”
“We had another Diddy reference that worked better and led us to other jokes. You only get one Diddy reference,” Glaser said. “Which you don’t want to do because you’re accusing people in the room of being involved, and they might turn on you for it.”

Martin Short, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez were nominated for Golden Globes at Sunday’s ceremony. Martin and Short, as well as their co-star Meryl Streep, could be made fun of, but the joke was left out of Glaser’s monologue.
“‘Only Murders in the Building’ is amazing, and I think it’s so cool that legends like Steve Martin, Martin Short and Meryl Streep are still working with her, giving some of the best performances of their careers. She’s so inspiring and it just shows you that you’re never too old to need money. Please don’t get caught in the Hawk Tuah scheme?”
