Syrians first openly invite Peace with Israel. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Furat Alali journalist from Damascus said: “We want a future without wars. We want to live. People are no longer afraid to speak.”
Her statement reflects a significant shift in the political landscape of the country, as many Syrians begin to openly discuss the appearance of peace with Israel. This change comes at a time when Syria and Israel deal with direct conversations as Reuters discovered on Tuesday, marking a dramatic deviation from a decade of longer hostility between the two nations.
Said ReutersIsrael and Syria recently held direct meetings focused on security issues along their common border. These conversations represent a big step in the relationship between the two countries, which have been opponents for decades.

The sources familiarized the discussions showed that the US played a major role in facilitating these conversations, encouraging the new leadership of Syria to deal with Israel.
Discussions come after a shift in US politics, after the president Donald Trump Meeting with Syrian temporary President Ahmed al-Sharao earlier this month. The meeting signaled a break from the decade of American hostility to the Syrian Assad regime and opened the door with potential normalization between Syria and Israel.
Although the conversations are still at an early stage, Trump’s engagement has increased the possibility of Syrian leadership in the end normalizes ties with Israel, although this process is likely to take time.
Furat Alali explained: “We no longer want to be part of the resistance axis. The Palestinian cause used us to oppress. We feel compassion for Palestinians, but now we have to focus on Syria and our future.”

Lina Ali, a 24-year-old Latakia pharmacist, told Fox News Digital, “we feel a gauze people. We condemn mass murders, but we are in a different situation. We are thinking about our own interests now. The idea of exploiting the Palestinian causative agent of the nesting of the Syrian people is rejected.
Another young woman interviewed by Jusoor News, a Paperan media outlet, shared similar thoughts: “We are for all that serves the interest of our country. We have lived through difficult times. The Earth’s economy is very weak. It’s time for people to live.”
The fall of Syrian Bashar Assad is a strategic blow to Iran and Russia, experts say
The elderly Syrian man explained to Jusoor: “We spent 40-50 years preaching Arabism and releasing Palestine, and what do we have to show for it? Nothing. It’s time for peace.”
The shift in the Syrian attitude about Israel is significant, especially given historical hostility between two nations. For decades, Syria and Israel have been locked in the conflict, and the status of golan heights has remained the key point of the quarrel from its capture of Israel during the 1967 war. Participation in Syria in the axis of resistance, alignment with Iran and Hezbollah against Israel, was the cornerstone of its foreign policy.
However, the recent appearance of temporary President Ahmed al-Sharaa has raised new opportunities as well as concern.
Furat Ali said: “I was one of the journalists who extensively covered the viohas of Jabhat al-Nusra before the fall of Assad regime, from the appearance of the Al-Jolani group (using its previous name), which was part of al-Qaeda. took over Aleppo And challenging Assad, I was scared. ”

“But as time went on,” she added, “when he rejoined as Ahmed al-Sharaa and promised a new direction, I saw that he was smart. He managed to convince the West to abolish sanctions and cooperate with him, returning international recognition for Syria. Although we are still skeptical and careful, which we saw from Shara, in the country.”
Joseph Braude, founder and president of the Center for Mirn Communication, emphasized the significance of a displacement in a public opinion in Syria. He noted: “People in Syria and Lebanon often relate Palestinian questions to the dictators who have exploited him to justify corruption and brutality. There is increasing rejection of the Pro-Palestinian militants, because many people now want to turn the page and focus on new partnerships aimed at developing their own countries.
“We believe that in Syria it has become a majority view that if peace with Israel brings economic development and improvements, it is worth following.”

He also pointed out that in countries dominated by Iran and her militia, ordinary people have the clearest understanding of the damage that these groups do. “They are the most eager for a different future, they are increasingly calling for peace,” Braude added.
Just as one man who interviewed Jusoor News said: “We have suffered years of oppression and war. It’s time to renovate. We need peace with everyone,” added another Syrian “I support the normalization of one million percent! If normalization is with Israel, or America or who can bring us comfort, then we just want peace! “
