Christian Eckes talks transition from Truck Series success to Xfinity challenges

Christian Eckes found his basis last year in Truck series.

Published third place after The win of three races And earned 22 Top 10 finals, but made a big move.

This year, the 24-year-old is in his first season of the Xfinity series, and although he has not achieved similar success, he knew it was a necessary change.

“I felt like I got to the point in a series of trucks where I was not satisfied or satisfied with success, but I definitely reached the point where I felt pretty comfortable in moving to the next level, and I felt like this was a great opportunity to pick myself up in some different series with, hopefully, scales to the cup,” News.

To go together with his transition to Xfinity, Eckes joined Celsius, energy drink He says he gave him huge reinforcements on the race day.

“So far it has been an explosion. I was able to meet a lot of cool people and obviously drink some good drinks on the road. And I’m looking forward to the future,” Eckes said.

“It helped me a lot. Some of these races are at night, or even in the morning, really. So the entry of caffeine definitely helps as well as moisturizing packages. There are many things that make us help us to succeed. Well, definitely, much of our race weekends.”

Eckes admitted that this season did not go the way he wanted. This year there are only six top 10 endings.

“We are still trying to find our way,” Eckes said. “We had some success here and there, we had some speed, but not on a consistent basis. So that is our matter the number 1 is currently trying to push forward and get to where we feel like we should be, and these are competing on a weekly basis.”

This weekend Eckes will be racing in Nashville, where he achieved the highlight of success. He won there last year, and Kaulig took over the plaid flag before there.

“Nashville should be a good place for us. I won the race last year in the truck series, so we hope we finally turned the weekend,” he said.

Eckes admitted that he was not a fan of Nashville in the past, but “he led every round of last year, now I like it a little better.”

“I did it in the truck before, so I hope to be able to repeat that success. You will need a lot. The Xfinity series is challenging to win. You have to be perfect in every aspect or as close as you can as you can. It will need a lot, but I feel confident in our team to do it.”
