A current struggle between Trump’s administration and Harvard University Unfortunately – he took his life.
I say unfortunately not because I believe the president of the reform Donald Trump is demanding completely beyond the borders – they are not in any way.
Instead, I say that because, as Alum and Harvard Undergrad and the Faculty of Law – and a long -standing donor – angry anti -Semitism in the campus, as well as the sadness of the University, I cannot blame the White House for acting.

Indeed, a legitimate argument should be given Harvard must be built into.
As said, there are worries unique to Harvard who separate him from other universities. These worries start to resolve anti -Semitism, damping of voices that are not in line with the ultimate left orthodoxy, as well as who he hired.
It is significant that the concerns about Harvard did not come from solving anti -Semitism after the Hamas attack on October 7th on Israel.

To be clear, this does not mean that I agree with every action that Trump has Taken against Harvard.
For example, the prohibition of blankets of acceptance of foreign students is exaggerated, but checking their social media is reasonable in itself.
Universities are routinely working for American students; Therefore, the reason is why Harvard should have the same – or even a more strict policy for foreigners. In this goal, Professor Harvard Steven Pinker recently published a work in the New York Times, which performs a great job in recording the problems Harvard has to solve the best ways to do so.
Pinker, who treats his frustration at school with anti -Semitism, free speech, employment practices and even more clearly, makes another key point: while Harvard has his “serious problems”, the reaction must also be calibrated.
In other words, although Harvard should not have an uninformed approach to taxpayers’ money, there is a real risk that the whole board reduces the damage to American scientific capabilities without creating-the necessary-reforms that Trump requires.
There is enough opportunities for a targeted approach that can make Harvard make them necessary changes without destroying school leadership in many vital fields.
For example, scholarships to social sciences can be canceled without touching money funded by medical or scientific studies of cancer or other diseases.
And as I agree with Pinker about the other points he presents, perhaps the most important thing is that he points out is that the only thing that has encouraged Harvard so far to take any steps according to the changes of Trump.

As Pinker says, “it is an unpleasant fact that many of these reforms followed Mr. Trump’s inauguration and overlapped with his demands.”
Of course, it should not need the president of the United States to establish US universities with their own behavioral code.
Nor did it need to need the power of the White House to force Harvard to catch himself in a bull of anti -Semitism and anti -American extremism that overcame his campus.

My hope is, as an alum, and as an American, that Trump’s administration and Harvard come to a solution in which the university realizes that it cannot continue to allow – or reward – students who are so clearly violating the behavior code, whether university or united states.
