It’s been twenty years since an 18-year-old Natalee Holloway of Alabama missing On May 30, 2005, during a senior trip to Arubu with his high school friends, but a private investigator of the Holloway family says that there are still many unanswered questions in the case.
2023. 36-year-old Dutch national Joran van der Sloot, the main suspect in Holloway’s disappearance and murder, admitted that she hit her teenage head with a brick and threw her body into the ocean after she rejected his progress.
“I completely smashed her head,” Van der Sloot said in an interview with the federal authorities on October 3, 2023. “Her face basically, you know, collapses. Even though she’s dark, I see her face demolished.”
TJ Ward, a private investigator who hired the Holloway family in 2005, and again in 2010, does not believe he acted alone.

Five years until the day after the disappearance of Hollowaya, Van der Sloot killed 21-year-old Stephany Flores, a business student from a rich Peruvian family who crossed the trail with the killer on May 30, 2010.
Van der Sloot later admitted that he had killed her in anger after learning about his connection with Holloway’s disappearance. Earlier, they met in her father’s casino in Lima, and he beat her in his hotel room the next morning.

In June 2010, the US Lawyer for the North District of Alabama announced an indictment of extorting and charges of fraud in wires against Van der Der Sloot for allegedly trying to sell information on where her body was her family.

He then left the United States, and later said Beth Holloway and Kelly that he lied.
Van der Sloot is currently serving in prison in Peru for Flores’ murder. He is expected to be released in 2036, at which moment of the Peruvian authorities he will be extradited to the United States to withstand his simultaneous 20-year sentence for Holloway’s murder.

“You are brutally killed, in separate incidents, separated years, two young women who rejected your sexual progress,” said Judge Anna Manasco van der Der Sloot in court 2023, referring to Flores’ murder.

Manasco called the allegations of extortion and fraud “awful” because the killer knew that the information he was selling was a lie to make a profit. However, as part of the agreement, she said that federal prosecutors agreed not to use his recognition against him for any other purpose.
“After 18 years, the case has been resolved by Natalee,” Beth Holloway told reporters outside the courtroom immediately after the Van der Sloot hearing in 2023 at Holloway’s death. “Joran Van der Sloot is a killer.”
“You’re a killer, and I want you to remember that every time the door closed are slammed.”
In a statement about the victims during the hearing, Holloway’s mother flew into Van der Sloot, saying that he was a derision of her family and caused an indescribable pain before turning to him and said, “You look like hell.”

Ward told Fox News Digital this week that Beth Holloway was “pleased with the fact that he was in prison, and now he has received prison time in the United States, which he will have to do at the same time as the Peru in the United States in the federal penitentiary.”

The private investigator added that to this day he still remains in contact with Dave Holloway and that they have not achieved “finalizing what happened”.

“Although Joran Van der Sloot admitted in 2023, we are not convinced that he was alone with what happened to Natalee Halloway,” Ward said. “But again, our conclusion, from today, Dave Holloway and I still look at and try to collect information, which we believe there are other people involved in Joran Van der Sloot when she was on the beach on May 30, 2005.”
Ward said he did not believe that Van der Sloot was acting alone, and still works to determine if others were involved.
