The expensive diamond brooch was found hiding in front of the eyes in a harmless box of jewelry when the box was brought to a routine estimate.
Most items were worth a little more than about $ 270.
The brooch, however, proved to be Art deco mild – which was later sold at around $ 3,100 auction, the SWWS news agency reported.
Lisa Spence, a jewelry manager at Richard Winterton Auctioneers, in Lichfield, Staffordshire, in the UK, noticed a valuable item as she went through a large collection.
“We always check everything, of course,” Spence said, as Swws reported.

“Particularly important,” she added, “to look at the larger jewelry collections With care and care, as you never know what could be lurking inside. “
Spence barely started questioning the cannon when something caught a dressed eye, Swws said.
With a short look through her magnifying glass, she realized that this was not just another little thing in the bone pieces.
“You never know what could lurk inside.”
She said, “it became clear that we were dealing with beautiful Rectangular brooch set of diamond with a central oval cut diamond about 1.20ct. “
“This bright diamond was surrounded by about 1.80 CT equally beautiful diamonds of old and one cut,” she added.

Not only were the diamonds exceptional, but the brooch and security buckle were still intact and incredibly good condition, which made it even more precious, Swns said.
“It’s always a special moment when someone’s day can beautify with a happy surprise assessment,” Spence said, “and that was no exception.”
