Tim Israel Olympic Bobsledder Adam Edelman wants to run his team Winter games For the first time since Pyeongchang 2018.

If they qualify for Cortina-Milan next yearThis would mark the return of his and his teammates to the Olympics after he failed to qualify for Beijing 2022. This would also mark their first trip back to the Winter Games, as Hamas attacked on October 7, 2023.

“We are blessed to have a team ready to leave October 7, and when it came on October 7, when it was committed in Israel, each of them had to be called to war. So it really changed the team’s dynamics in the last few years,” Edelman told Fox News Digital.

“The goal of the team after October 7th was to exist.”

Edelman recalled his team, who adapted to a new starter in every competition he participated in, for a while.

He had to live below the poverty limit all the time to maintain his dedication to the team guidance in the last 12 years. He even says that he had to sell all his bitcoin, which he says would be worth millions today to hold on to it.

“Everything was spent on bobsleding,” he said. “I would be a mega-mioner to still have one.”

Edelman admits that he could make things easier for himself if he, a native of Massachusetts and a myth city, competed for Team USA instead of Israel.

In a sport dependent on resources such as Bobsleding, the Nickname of F1 on ICE because of its high costs to be competitive, Edelman knows that he would have access to more resources for training, training, equipment and marketing.

However, for him, it would even beat the point of competition as an Olympic.

“I do not add anything to the United States. If I joined the United States, the only value that would be added to my own journey, but that makes my journey non-adherent to other people’s travels,” Edelman said.

“My value for the world and why God has put me on this country, I honestly feel that I use the skills that I have given me to have a positive impact on others … so I am exclusively motivated to represent Israel. I thought a lot about that.”

Still, Edelman is a proud American and believes that “they are” the greatest country that has ever existed in human history. ”

In addition, as a Jewish American, Edelman was also proud of seeing the president Donald Trump It collapses on a wave of anti -Semitism that broke out after October 7th. Edelman said he saw anti-Semitism up close when he went to Columbia during his Pro-Palestinian protests in 2024.

Trump’s administration has froze billion dollars of the University of Ivy League Columbia and Harvard, declaring that schools have violated civil rights of Jewish students, allowing anti-Semitic protests in the campus in the midst of the Israel-Gaze conflict in the last year and a half.

Harvard will not comply with Trump administrator requests due to threatening a decrease in federal financing

The President even launched a working group of a specialized Ministry of Justice proposed by Leo Terrell to resolve the issue.

“The appropriateness of what Trump’s administration has requested only is the law of the law. Only says,” Hey, these people are protected by the Civic Rights Act “and you do not sharply implement the Civic Rights Act. If people take over, transfer security guards, attack security guards on your campus, harass Jews in a place that they don’t get in place,”

Trump’s administration also announced earlier in April that it would stop more than $ 1 billion in Cornell’s funding and approximately $ 790 million for Northwestern University due to investigation by alleged civil rights violations.

Approximately $ 510 million for Brown University could also be on a block of chopping, said the White House official for Associated Press 3 on April on April 3, for charges of anti -Semitism at school.

“I think the way Trump’s administration has approached many questions since she came to duty just the right path,” Edelman said.

“Some policies are good, some policies are bad, and this is an inexplicably good policy. Make sure that US higher education institutions do not continue that path to so inaccessible Americans, but also to the indoctrinacular centers of anti -American values.”

While Edelman looks to push his team on the winter Olympic Games in Cortini Milan 2026, he strives to be a voice for Americans and Jews in a complicated time in history.

He hopes that the rest of the story can appreciate the story of Underdog, which he and his teammates go through.
