Joseph Neumeyer, 28, which also holds German citizenship, was found last week outside the Tel Aviva Embassy Office with a backpack containing several Molot cocktails, federal prosecutors said.
He is charged with trying to destroy fire or explosives, an American embassy.
“As reportedly, Neumeyer, armed with potentially deadly devices, sought to cause chaos and destruction at the United States Embassy in Tel Aviv,” said US lawyer Joseph Nocella, JR.

Neumeyer, a resident of Colorado, was deported from Israel to the United States and appeared Ua New York Federal courtrooms on Sunday, where it was ordered to be held on trial.

Neumeyer was found at a hotel where he stayed and housed arrested. He is facing up to 20 years in prison.
