A military general recently confirmed that military air traffic controllers lost contact with a military helicopter, which prompted two commercial aircraft to execute the environment Ronald Reagan Washington (DCA) National Airport, where the collision in Mirat killed 67 people in January.

The army announced that it supports the constant efforts to modernize the air traffic system, including the initiatives led by traffic secretary Sean Duffy to resolve “inconsistencies caused by inherited technologies”.
“We are advocating for safe and professional aviation operations in all airspace,” Bracan said in a statement. “We continue to work closely with FAA to update the procedures before continuing the Pentagon flight operation in support of national security missions.”

After an incident on May 1, Duffy took X to share his frustration.
“Our helicopter limits around DCA are crystal clear. In addition to investigations with @NTSB and @faanews, I’ll talk to @Deptofdefense Asking why the hell were our rules neglected, “Duffy wrote.
“Safety must always be in the first place. We have just lost 67 souls! No more driving a helicopter for VIPS or unnecessary training in a congested DCA full civilian. Take a taxi or Uber – except for most VIPs has black cars.”
May 8. Duffy announced Plan To build a new “state -of -the -art” traffic control system that will equip locations with better technology to reduce malfunctions, improve efficiency and strengthen safety.
The announcement followed the recent interruption at the Newark Liberty Internal Airport, which Duffy attributed to Transmission of the previous air space control administration from New York to Philadelphia.
