On May 20th, he marks the National Rescue Day and celebrated the founder of Bartol Sports Dave Portnoy recently opened on the importance of adopting a furry friend and influence he had on his life.
In Saturday’s episode “My view with Lara Trump,” Host Lara Trump talked to Portnoy about his two saving dogs, Miss Peaches and Pete, and a special emotional relationship he has with them both.
He was thinking about his experience of adopting his ex from the Lifeline Animal Hospital in Atlanta, him.

“I saw her picture, I only fell in love with the picture, “Portnoy said.” I flew to pick her up and wanted a video basically just the moment I met her and made a video. I posted it and people just went bananas for her. “
Miss Peaches is a pit bull, a breed often “demonized” because of her reputation dangerous and aggressive. Portnoy, however, insists that characterization is not fully accurate – calling himself his dog’s companion as a “sweetest, nicer, lightest dog” in the world.
“If you raised in a hostile environment and taught certain things, you can act in a certain way,” he explained. “It’s not on a dog.”
Miss Peaches became a viral sensation similar to Portnoy’s Bartol Sports Brand, raising over 1.5 million followers on Instagram. It even has its own brand vodka lemonade, “Lucky One Lemonade”, which returns to animal shelters and related causes.

“We sold Tone Merch, and what I immediately said was that we didn’t make a little thing from him – everything was donated back,” Portnoy said. “Much has gone to the animal shelter we found it in.”
When shelters do not have enough staff, it means that fewer resources go to dogs with medical or behavior. (FNC)
Even after the presence on Miss Peaches’s social networks exploded in popularity, Portnoy never forgot about the shelter dog station – and the need to find you forever home. According to AspcaIn 2024, about 5.8 million dogs and cats entered the shelters and saved.
“It’s easy not to think about it,” Portnoy said. “But once you were in the shelter or saw the adopted dog, it will change your mind because they do not deserve to be there.”

“I have a picture of Miss Peaches at the shelter,” he continued. “It looks so sad just sitting against the wall. That’s why I want to love, cry, thinking about it. But all dogs deserve a good home.”
Portnoy wanted to give a good home once more; He subsequently saved Beagle by the name of his heel.
“I saw him in the video [and] He just talked to me. They’ve been the best friends from day one, “he said about Pete’s relationship with Miss Peaches.
Portnoy later explained that his dogs generally control his daily routine and compare them to “children”, but claims he would not have another way.
“It’s a full -time job, but your life will change for the better,” he added. “It’s an old term, like” Who saved who? “My life would not be the same without any of them.”
