Indy 500 The champions Josef NewGarden and Will Power were affected with big penalties for less than a week before the green flag fell for the race.
AND The team of the pen Drivers will be forced to start in the back of the field through modified mufflers, the Indycar series announced on Monday. Team strategists for both drivers were suspended for the race.

“The integrity of the Indianapolis 500 is the most important, and this violation of Indycar against the change of this part and the use of” as delivered “is clear,” President Indycar said in the statement by J. Douglas the sick. “The punishment should be more than easy to start where the cars have qualified anyway if they are given the opportunity. Cars belong to the field as two of the fastest 33; however, the beginning of the tail field in this case is an appropriate punishment.”
Indycar said New Garden and Power will take away qualifying points and have been fined with $ 100,000.
“The positive momentum around the NTT Indycar and Indianapolis 500 series has been on a steep crescend in the last few months, and we want it to be clear that our intention is to keep that momentum and discourage teams to put an indicar in positions where it calls for integrating our official and playing level.”
