Historical plantationAntebellum’s largest summer residence in the USA burned to Earth this week after a fire broke out on Thursday. There were no reports on injuries or deaths associated with fire.
Fire teams worked on to extinguish the flames with water that was allegedly poured on the ruins as long as the fire began, According to Fox 8. From Saturday, the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
“Some of the staff members stated that they had entered the museum and that there was smoke. When they returned, the whole room was on fire,” the president of the parish Iberville Chris Daigle told Fox 8, adding that it was a “total loss”.

In modern times, the mansion and the surrounding estate functioned as the place of museums, resorts and weddings. Nottoway Plantation website says she was sitting on a 31 hectare, which included 40 Night roomsBar, restaurant, events, pool, tennis courts and more.
