Indy 500 practice: Kyffin Simpson goes airborne in crash

The driver of Indycar -a Kyffin Simpson was included in a terrifying collision during Indianapolis 500 practice on Friday.

Simpson came around the last turn and headed for the front when the back of his vehicle waved, and he lost control. Simpson scored the left front into the wall and went into the air for a few moments before returning down. He didn’t turn.

Parts and debris were scattered across the trail because the practice was briefly suspended before it started again.

“I’m all good, I praise the gentlemen,” Simpson told Fox Sports after being checked at the Emergency Room Center. “It’s a difficult way to go fast on Friday. Just a strange fall. All about it was strange.

“Even from the crossing, something really didn’t feel fine. I continued to go right to a jacker with weight and tried to help the car. He just never felt the way I expected. It was just weird. We’ll come back and look at some information and try to figure out what might be okay and try not to happen again.”

Kajman driver competed for chip gnassi races on Indycar series Since 2023 he has not yet won the Indycar race.

Earlier this season he had the best end to his career at the Grand Prix Long Beach. Finished in 10th place.
