Bauer is currently in Japan Nippon Professional Baseball League. For the last four years he has been outside MLB.
The reason is revolving about charges of sexual abuse that were filed against him in 2021. The MLB initially put Bauer on administrative leave, but later was suspended 324 games before reducing it to 194 games after appeal.
His suspension may be worse, but no MLB team returned Bauer to Pregib. Bauer never addressed the division of his thoughts, and he did not want to.
Last August, Bauer suggested that the MLB is the reason he cannot sign with another team-not because the team does not believe that his talent is still there to perform at the Grand League level.
“Well, one team told us that this was not their decision, that’s the decision of the MLB,” Bauer wrote on X then. He was exchanged with Cincinnati Reds Fans on social media platforms.

“Trevor Bauer served the entire discipline and is an unlimited free agent who is available to sign a contract with any team,” the statement said.
Bauer was never charged with a crime. His accuser sought refraining the order against him, but it was rejected. Prosecutors from Los Angeles said in February 2022 that there was not enough evidence to prove that women’s allegations were out of reasonable doubt.
Bauer sued his accuser in the Federal Court in April 2022, which followed less than three months after the prosecutors decided not to file criminal charges against the caster.
