Arizona legislators banned camps on Public university campuses as protests continue to break out in schools throughout the United States.
Democratic Government of Arizona Kate Hobbs Last week he signed a House Bill 2880, which forbids people “to establish or occupy a camp at a university or joint college campus.”

The Democratic State of Arizona, Ambassador Alma Hernandez, presented the proposal of the law, saying in a statement when he adopted the Education Committee in February that the legislation “is not about silencing someone’s right to protest.”

“After October 7, our universities faced significant challenges as they tried to negotiate with individuals who set unrealistic demands and refused to remove their campsites,” Hernandez said. “I have witnessed the influence of this firsthand. As a student and a member of the faculty, I firmly believe in the importance of civic talks and peaceful protests – these fundamental rights protected by the first amendment. However, camps do not have legal views on our campuses.”
“We need to give the priority of responsibility and ensure that our public institutions remain focused on providing a safe and safe environment,” she continued. “The basic obligation of these institutions is to support teaching and learning for all students.
