President Donald Trump The administration released the top copyright officer in the US – just days after abolishing the Congress Library.
Shira Perlmutter was in charge of the US Copyright Office, which supervises the congress library until it was abruptly discharged on Saturday.
The American Copyright Office said Fox News Digital that Perlmutter had received the E -white house, stating: “Your position of copyright register and director at the American Copyright Office is abolished immediately.”

The Perlmutter Office has recently published a report in which they questioned whether artificial intelligence companies could use materials protected by copyright for “training” of their AI systems.

The report followed in accordance with a review that began in 2023 with the opinions of thousands of individuals, including AI developers, actors and village singers.
The Copyright Office clarified its approach in January, as one based on the “centrality of human creativity” in the authorship of works that guarantee the protection of copyright. The Copyright Office takes about half a million copyright applications each year, covering millions of creative works.
“Where this creativity is expressed by using the AI system, it still enjoys protection,” Perlmutter said in January. “Extending protection to materials whose expressive elements determine the machine … It would undermine, not further constitutional goals of copyright.”

Perlmutter, who graduated, was previously a director of politics at the Patent and Protective Office and worked on copyright and other areas of intellectual ownership.
Earlier, she also worked in the Copyright Office in the late 1990s.
