Treasury Secretary Scott Besent on Sunday said that after a two -day trade discussion with Chinese officials in Geneva, the United States had “progressed enough”, the first sign could begin to reduce Washington and Beijing tensions.
“We will give details tomorrow, but I can tell you that the discussions were productive,” Besent told reporters that he and US trade representative Jamison Greaer Chinese Vice-Primere after he finished their meeting with Lifeng.
Greer said “It was important to understand how quickly we came to agreement, which reflects that the differences were probably not so big that they probably thought” and added that there was a “lot of foundation work”.

On the first day of the talks on Saturday, Trump posted on his true social platform that the United States and China made “great progress”. He added: “The total reset is a friendly, but has discussed in a constructive manner.”
