New York Times columnist David Brooks called on the former president Joe Biden Not to fight “old battles” during a conversation on Friday after Biden returned to the public this week.
Brooks said PBS Newshour If Joe Biden would ever call him that he should ask what he should do with his post -presidents, he would tell the former president to “be postpolitically, he raised himself above him and do not come back, do not try to fight the old battle.”
Biden spoke with the BBC and “The View” this week after the 2024 election, accusing the loss of former Vice President Kamala Harris about sexism and racism. He also answered questions about his alleged cognitive fall and claimed that he could beat Trump.
Host PBS Newshour Geoff Bennett also asked Brooks if there was a strategic value by saying that he would defeat the president of the session after the failed attempt to attend the former VP.
